Siloam Springs, Arkansas is a small town on the Arkansas/Oklahoma border. It’s only home to around 15,000 people, and its pretty boring most of the time. I felt very claustraphobic here as a photographer, so to challenge myself, I started a project in Novermber 2017 to photograph this town in an exciting and fresh way. It was really hard at first, but I soon began to train my eye to see things differently. I often parked my car and walked around and shot for and hour or two. It is still an on-going project I work on, and it has given me freedom to continue to photograph interesting things while I finish my degree here.
